Instructions for Oral and Poster Presenters

Instructions for Oral and Poster Presenters (Important Info)

  1. Physical presenters

  1. Presentations slides: Authors can submit a powerpoint or pdf file with the presentation material and slides. There is not a specific template for presentations and participants can adopt the one of their preference. The recommended number of slides is 15-20 (13 minutes presentation + 2 minutes for Q & A (total time 15 min)).
  2. The Keynote speakers' presentation duration is 30 minutes plus five minutes for Q&A (total time 35 min).
  3. Authors must upload their presentations onto the designated computer at the conference venue during the break before their session or earlier. Presentations scheduled in early morning sessions (starting at 9 am) should be uploaded the evening before.
  4.  Presenters will not be allowed to connect their own computer to the projection system. Presentations can be loaded via USB flash memory stick. Authors are urged to try to minimise any potential problems by taking advantage of redundancy whenever possible: save and bring presentations in multiple formats (PowerPoint and Adobe PDF), store presentations in more than one media, and keep the media on your person during travel.
  5. Presenters should arrive at the designated room 10 minutes prior to the start of the session and introduce themselves to the chairperson.
  6. Timing is crucial, so we kindly ask you not to go beyond your time limit.
  7. Poster presentation: Posters should include a good combination of words, pictures, and graphics. They should include the results and conclusions of the papers, but authors are suggested to avoid including too much text in it. Poster dimensions: Poster size should be no more than A0 portrait (841 × 1189 mm, width × height (A0 according to ISO 216).
  8. Please note that at least one presenter should be staying in front of your posters during your entire time.
  9. There will be an assisting person available in the Poster Area to help and show the stand for your poster.  You are expected to be present at your poster during the poster session.
  10.  Presentations (oral/poster) with no speaker (no-show presentations) will be excluded from the RPC special issue.
